There comes a time in every single mothers life when the stars align in a way so rare so unexpected that you dont really believe its happening until youre three episodes deep into And Just Like That and you realise no one has asked you to find anything in over four hours. My daughter Belle is away for the week with my sister and my dog Mako is on a sleepover at my mums – no doubt being hand-fed ham off the bone and having the time of her little furry life. Which means dear reader I have the entire house to myself. I KNOW. I considered going out doing something wild like having a social life but honestly the only thing I really wanted to do was sit on the sofa bra-less watching Carrie Bradshaw make terrible decisions and eat snacks. So imagine my joy – my delight – when the Indulge snack box from Wellboxes turned up at my door like a cardboard treasure chest of happiness. Let me tell you this is not just a snack box. This is a curated experience. Its the kind of snack selection that says We know you havent been alone in your house since 2007 and were here for you. Inside was an assortment of sweet and savoury joy: posh popcorn (aka not the kind that smells like feet in the office microwave) fancy chocolate that you pretend to savour but actually inhale in one sitting and even a couple of drinks to wash it all down like the classy hermit queen you are.
