A former college student in Belarus has been ordered to pay a fine of 11000 rubles for not fulfilling her work obligation after graduation. According to the law all students who receive government scholarships are required to work in a designated field for a certain period of time after graduation. However the student failed to find a job in her field and did not inform the authorities. As a result she was fined and her diploma was withheld until the fine is paid.
